Rural Guernsey

The northernmost part of Guernsey is green and rural and perfect for families, dog owners and walkers. Many dog walkers take their dogs for a run  L’Ancresse Common, and there are a number of dog-friendly beaches in the area. Pembroke beach is perfect for children, and there is a large playground at Ladies Bay just next door. For walkers there are a number of delightful walks down winding lanes, and beautiful unspoilt coastal paths.

Beaches

Pembroke beach is on our doorstep, and Ladies Bay and Les Amarreurs beach are just around the corner. Les Amarreurs offers great crabbing from the historic pier and Ladies Bay is excellent for bodyboarding and windsurfing.  A short distance away are the popular beaches of Vazon and Cobo Bay (with a resident surf school), and to the South of the island is the picturesque Petit Bot beach, which is nestled in the cliffs.

Herm & Sark

Be sure to visit Herm and Sark during your stay. The islands are a short boat trip away and, with no cars or tarmac roads(!), they offer a magical day out.

Location

Most of our guests arrive by ferry, however, the island’s airport is located about 20 minutes drive away, which makes air travel very easy.
